Album Info: | In 1831 the Camden & Amboy Railroad, the first line to be laid in the State of New Jersey, was built - first between Bordentown and South Amboy and later extended from Bordentown to Camden, a total distance of sixty two miles. The Pennsylvania Railroad took over the Camden & Amboy Railroad in 1871. Passenger service ended in 1959. |
